i still remember, that there was one night in taiwan
it was dead quiet, not even the crickets were making any noise

and all i could think of, for some reason, was the good times i had in jc.
all the dance practices i so looked forward to no matter how tired i was, all the lunches i had with my class, all the friend i made and not to forget, sleeping in class.
the memories kept replaying in my head, clear as crystal.

sometimes i really wonder if i'm in the right school.

would it have been better if i had just transferred?

i mean, i don't even know why i'm studying for A levels. don't see myself taking up any jobs that come with university education.

hah. i think if the me 4 years ago saw me typing this now, he'd probably think i'm nuts.

don't know why, but my perspective of the world changed a lot in the past few years. and i get this impression that rich people are generally screwed up. so i never ever want to become one of them. money never has been attractive to me anyway. unless it's for dance classes :D

and so that kinda affected my motivation to study hard. as in, why study so hard if your goal in life isn't to make money? isn't the point of studying just to make money in the future? i find it meaningless now, and i think the only thing that keeps me going is not wanting to let my parents down.

what i really want? just to do what i really want to do. something that will be actually meaningful to me. and i think i've found that here in jc: dance.

but the problem is, living in an asian society that is usually filled with pragmatism, that goal is really hard to reach. people would probably think you're crazy, especially for someone like me. "what? you got jc education and you want to become a dancer? siao ah". some people even think dancers do it for the attention. and i think that's the mindset my parents have. bleh.

it's something i can't explain, this passion i have for dance. i just can't seem to keep still now every time some awesome beat starts playing. and i know i will spend the rest of my life regretting if i happen to give up dance.

exco elections today. spent 13 hours at a209 omg.

tapestry, teacher's day, open house, cca exhibition, chinese new year. keep listening to all these performance songs and feeling damn nostalgic. noticed my mixing skills getting better too haha :D

then it was auditions already. looking at j1s audition. realising how much we've improved. getting to know new juniors. being really really nice to them. except the april fool's thing haha (:

i'm really really grateful to MAD for introducing such a wonderful thing called dance to me. it's the first time i really enjoyed something just because i liked it, and not because it brings other benefits. really owe the seniors and anan so much for letting me into MAD and teaching me so much.

and all my awesome MAD friends. you don't often find such great friends in life and i'll definetely remember to treasure these people (:

i hope i haven't let anyone down either. i don't know if i had done my best for my div in the past year, but i hope it was enough.

i really don't want it to happen, but soon enough i'll lose contact with majority of the people i've met and become good friends with in MAD. and i'm not sure how i'm going to handle that cause i really hate saying goodbyes. but i guess sooner or later i'll have to do it.

good things won't last forever. but memories will. thank you MAD for giving me such wonderful ones. i'll treasure them forever.

balloons, games, pizza, birthday cake, eggs which looked like minced meat (ew D:), step up, dance night 09 dvd, j1 hiphop item 09 epicness, can you feel it :D, all the memories from dance night rushing back, suddenly got motivation to make dance night 10 hiphop item as imba as possible, freestyling outdoors :D, basketball (the basketball doesn't like thomson D:), watching some sad chinese movie where almost every character died, going out for prata at 4 in the morning, coming back and camwhoring at 6 in the morning, sleepin and waking up and sleeping and waking up again and again, scandalous sleeping positions, camwhoring with people who are alseep, jumping around and popping balloons all over the place.

monday had cca orientation practice. painted banner, had og dinner, stared at stars while lying in the tennis courts, danced like some zi high weirdo at zen garden, blasting music so loud the security guard would never had forgiven us if he had been there, reaching home at 11 plus and getting scolded again.

tuesday i forgot what i did, but i reached home damn late again .___. not a good sign haha.

wednesday senior meet junior, watched juniors getting slightly more bonded playing the games(: had cca orientation after that. omg damn fail was feeling damn nua that day dunno screwed up how many times. even forgot to perform for something wth. matthew wake up dammit :/ went kap for dinner and crapped and reached home at 10pm and got scolded again.

thursday cny practice, discussed dance night item after that, came up with a pretty good concept and some nice ideas (: yay progess :D

friday stoned in school for 5 hours, watching artemis performances, fac dance practices while deciding whether to go for campfire or not. ended up staying for the whole thing and zi highing like a j1 during sodache at central plaza :DD went for mad supper after that. forgot to tell my parents forgot to bring key and they got pissed so i ended up getting locked out when i reached home at 12am so had to spend the night downstairs beside the pool. luckily there were comfortable chairs to sleep in.
damn why am i such a wuss. should have just went up to ask you to dance then you wouldn't have went with the other guy.

saturday just got back home and bathed, dunno when i'm gonna get scolded. going for cny practice again later and maybe going to help teach fac dance. need to mix music for cny performance too.

like i said, it was one heck of a week :D

had dinner at mad jack and caught up a little with them i guess (: now i can safely wave at them in school without the fear of being ignored. WAHAHAHA :D

hopefully the og chalet/outing in june's gonna be successful (: really miss my og.

a real hectic year.

now i know why some people told me to treasure those orientation days (:

still remember those times as if they were yesterday.

oh and not to mention the year end holidays of 2008.

best holiday i ever had(: with all the night cycling, breaking of hammocks, snapjack, sleeping at chalets on the cold floor with spectacles on, eating prata at a random hawker centre at 3am, seeing transexuals at changi, watching movies at jurong point after 2 sleepless nights and stuff(:

and i still remember how nervous i was before the release of mad audition results. couldn't sleep at home and went to school feeling so nervous and couldn't even sleep in lectures. even math lectures leh omg. and stupid jiahan making it worse during jts and talking about cca options if i don't get into mad damn seriously. and i remember shouting my head off like a tard when i saw the results which was pinned on the cca board.

feeling just so happy to go for my first ever practice. and feeling like a failure after that seeing how much i had to improve haha. not that now i'm much better. still got lots to go.

and going to joo koon station the first day it opened after jts and doing fac dance there at 12am and getting chased out by the guard since it was gonna be the last train already.

dance night preparation. though it wasn't a lot this year, it really helped me become closer to my division(: so glad i've got this group of friends with me (:

oh and fac outing performance preparation which went on at the same time. staying back freaking late together with all the artemis mad peeps and getting stressed out about performance ideas haha (:

and inspire straight after dance night. wth our evil seniors purposely go sign us up for that D: another 2 weeks of crazy practices and stuff but eventually we pulled it off (:

mad exco elections was quite scary haha. especially the battling part. i had no idea what i was doing :/

block tests. ok maybe i'll not talk about that :D

tapestry was a blast (: had a lot of fun practising and it was a first performance for us j1s where all 3 divisions were involved.

then after that everything's a bit of a blur. with all the mugging and teacher's day performance prep and going to anan open class and mugging and promos.

OH AND THERE'S PW. HAHA I WANNA TAKE ANOTHER RIDE ON SERENE'S DAD'S TRUCK :D STAYOVER FTW :D

and now before i know it, 2009's already over.

cameron highlands strawberries damn nice (: strawberry icecream strawberry milkeshake strawberry ~~short~~cake omg :DD

and they sell huge strawberry plushies everywhere.

and i think we almost walked to the foot of the mountain by accident during the random hike to the waterfall.

oh and the waterfall was beautiful (: though the water was a little polluted :/

and my butt's still hurting from the 10 hour car rides back and forth.

but it was a fun trip anyways(: talked a lot of crap with hansen and james and watch american pie while getting drunk on fake vodka :DD

and visiting countless strawberry farms and cactus valleys(:

and cheating at the basketball machine. actually it was only stupid hansen cheating :D

and almost getting caught while smuggling chewing gum back to singapore whee :D

had the freaking time of my life :DDDDD

omfg the beach was amazing :DD

they had almost everything there.
wakeboarding, parasailing, scuba diving, surfing.
gosh it was freaking fun hahaha :DD

and did i mention the waves are huge compared to those pathetic ones in sg? :D
it's like the waves will tower a metre over you before crashing. and you probably don't want to be standing there when it crashes haha.

getting drunk after 3 cups of balinese coffee.

laughing at flies on the tour bus and zi-highing.

falling asleep about an hour later even after those 3 cups of coffee.

watching the sunset at the beach and eating dinner.

diving into the sea forgetting that you had over 400k in your pocket. rupiah btw.

jumping into the hotel pool with muddy clothes.

getting scolded by security guards :D

waking up the next day with sand in my hair.

going to the beach (the water was freaking clear and sparkly :D)

wakeboarding, parasailing, poking huge turtles (freaking 70kg turtles omg)

surfing till my head hurt from the waves whacking my face.

going back to surfing after lunch again :D

realised that i got sunburnt after getting out of the water.

attempting to communicate with a local in balinese when he mistook me for a balinese.

admiring local graffiti art i found on random walls (never get to see those in sg :D)

going scuba diving and messing with sea anemones and getting attacked by the fishes which lived in it.

trying to bite the fish back but realised i had that breathing thing on.

and i just realised i haven't danced for 6 days already.
